My client, Acushnet Holdings, a highly successful worldwide renowned company located in Fairhaven, MA is seeking to hire a seasoned Sr. P/A in their Finance group. The keys to this role would be experience from a technical standpoint in the following areas:Java, Web Methods integration tool, Web Services, SOAP, XML, and web based applications experience, strong SQL development skills including performance tuning, experience with Cognos/Qlik BI tools and Infor M3 systems a huge plus.

Responsibilities

Facilitate organizational change and promote continuous improvement by leading the development and maintenance of essential business application software. Exercise technical leadership over one or more systems critical to business operations by planning and coordinating technical activities necessary to implement, enhance and maintain the systems. Coordinate resources and organize activities necessary to complete business application projects. Provide oversight of other resources including associates and contractors. Develop software estimates and maintain project schedules. Document project objectives and business requirements. Translate business requirements into functional and technical design specifications. Develop business application software at an expert level. May provide direction to other developers relative to advanced technical topics. Perform code and unit test reviews as required. Enhance quality of application software by developing and executing test plans and implementation schedules. Promote organizational learning by developing documentation and providing training. Support existing applications on a 24×7 basis as a member of an applications on-call support process.

 

Qualifications

BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration or related field is required. At least 7 years experience with a business oriented programming language. At least 3 years experience with sales, manufacturing, distribution H/R or financial systems. Experience with webMethods integration tool, Java, Infor M3 Financial (FIN) configuration, webServices, SOAP, XML, and web based applications, strong SQL developmental skills including performance tuning, Cognos reporting and Streamserve output management is preferred. Ability to take ownership of projects and provide direction to other team members. Good verbal and communications skills. Must be able to balance conflicting requirements of a multi-task environment. Customer service orientation. Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration with other team members. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Creativity and commitment to continuous improvement. Adaptability and capacity to learn new skills. High personal standards of quality. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Sr./Principal ETL Developer-up to 120K base plus bonus -NH Seacoast location

Responsibility Summary:

The position is responsible for generating all scripts required to transform the source data into the Oracle physical tables including the associated processes necessary to provide robust recovery and performance. This position is responsible for producing and maintaining logical and physical data models of enterprise business data as well as the physical data architecture of the Oracle data warehouse.

Major Activities and Functions:

Creates deliverables that include: PL/SQL scripts, various ETL jobs, job schedules. Uses SQL and Oracle utilities to research and trouble shoot data issues.  Collaborates on deliverables that include: Physical Data Models, Dimensional Data Models and other Data Management artifacts.  Analyzes business and functional requirements of assigned projects and translates into technical specifications and data rules required for the construction of the Oracle data warehouse.  Keeps all documentation (business and technical metadata, data models, guidelines and standards, etc., processes) current.  Develops standards and strategies to ensure data quality.  Establishes standards for tools and infrastructure for data management.  Participates in a team environment for the delivery and maintenance of data models in support of application system databases.  Effectively applies software development methodology and adheres to standards, including change management. Assists in system monitoring responsibilities and makes recommendations for capacity planning. Provides training and knowledge transfer to the application support group.  Provides project documents and deliverables in adherence to project plans.  Fosters/maintains good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.

Job Requirements

BS   in Computer/Information Science, Mathematics or equivalent is required.3-5   years of relevant data warehouse experience including at least 2 years   experience in:

Designing,   developing and testing PL/SQL scripts for ETL development

Experience   in at least one COTS ETL tool

Usage   of SQL and Oracle utilities to research and troubleshoot data issues

Understanding   of Oracle performance tuning sufficient to communicate with tuning team

Understanding   of BI concepts sufficient to insure good communication with BI team and   provide design solutions that meet their needs

Demonstrated   experience with logical, physical, and dimensional data modeling,   process modeling and data mart / warehouse design.

Understanding   of diagramming and the documentation of requirements, including data   dictionary and metadata repository.

Must   be highly motivated, have a great work ethic and work effectively with other   team members, while requiring minimum direction.

Ability   to analyze, diagnose and resolve data management related problems.

Familiar   with full life cycle software development processes, especially as they   pertain to data movement and data integration.

Candidate   must be willing to delve into the details to solve technical taking a   hands-on approach.

Strong   written and oral communications skills coupled with active listening skills.

Ability   to be flexible with work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays   as required and to be part of the on call rotation when the application   enters the support phase.

Knowledge   of Oracle ERP and Cognos Tool set is a plus.
