My client is growing and is looking for a Senior/Principal Cloud Security Engineer to develop, maintain and enhance security of their (SaaS) offering. You will take a lead role to design, develop, test, and deploy infrastructure security solutions, and direct requirements /assist in developing application security features. This is a high visibility position offering significant career growth to the right candidate as this company continues to scale it’s global business.
Some responsibilities include:
•Network and host security for the company’s multi-tenant Linux HPC facility, encompassing all areas of user access, application design, host configuration and network setup
•Maintenance and administration of monitoring & security devices (IDS, firewall) for our product and global corporate network.
•Rapid response to identified security related events and known vulnerabilities
•Automation of security testing, monitoring, notification, and response
•Direct requirements and test application security
•Manage projects for new security infrastructure or changes to architecture
•Create / maintain appropriate security policy documentation and reports
•Manage 3rd party security services and auditors
•Provide regular security reports / recommendations to executive management
•Bachelor’s Information Technology, CIS, CSIT, Cyber Security or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
•5+ years experience in the Information Technology industry
•Significant hands-on experience administering secure Linux systems
•Experience maintaining security of a privately hosted SaaS web site
•Team player with strong English communication skills
•High degree of initiative, drive, and dependability
•Experience managing multiple, simultaneous, significant projects and initiatives
•Demonstrated success; ability to work independently in a rapidly evolving, fast paced environment
Additional Qualifications (Optional) :
Experience with one or more is considered a plus:
•Experience building and managing security policies
•Senior vendor neutral security certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
•Experience executing manual penetration tests
•Experience with SOC Type 2 and ISO 27000 standards compliance
•Knowledge and experience with Cloud Security Alliance (CSA)
•Ability to effectively manage software vendors and MSSP (Managed Security Services Providers)
•Knowledge and experience with some of the following is desirable:
•Task Automation (e.g. Bash/CSH, Python, Perl, etc.)
•Directory Services (LDAP)
•Data Security Technologies (SSL, RSA SecurID, Encryption)
