Sr. SQL Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst

This is a perm position located in the greater Boston, MA area. My client is growing and looking for the following:

The Business Intelligence – Sr Developer is responsible for the on-going analysis, development, and implementation of Business Intelligence deliverables, based on the Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack.

Essential Position Responsibilities:
•Develop ETL procedures using SSIS
•Develop standard reports using SSRS
•Develop Tabular models using SSAS
•Unit testing and Data Quality analysis
•Follow our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for Requirements, Design, and Implementation.
•Provide Performance Analysis and Tuning
•Plan and complete projects within established schedules and milestones, and budget.
•Test systems and applications to ascertain the effectiveness of changes, including regression testing.
•Keep current with Business Intelligence best practices and operational requirements.
•Provide system and application support along with other members of the programming staff, both during and outside of office hours.
•Prepare documentation of coded programs, applications, and systems.
•Recommend solutions to Business Intelligence problems and opportunities.
•Understanding of relevant business processes and applications.

Essential Skills & Experience:
•Expert level knowledge of:
SQL Server 2012+
Complex T-SQL /  Stored Procedures
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Data Warehouse &  Architecture  modeling
Microsoft BSIM for Tabular Modeling
ETL Concepts and design
SQL Query Tuning
Kimball Design Methodology
DAX
• Ability to apply critical thinking approach to problems and opportunities
• Understanding of system design best practices.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office products.

Additional Qualifications and Skills would be nice:
• MS SharePoint BI Integration
• MS Team Foundation Server
• MS .Net programming
• MS PowerView  & PowerPivot
• Retail and Direct to Consumer/Catalog/Ecommerce Industry Experience
• SQL Server Database performance tuning concepts

Education / Experience / Certification:
• 4 Year Degree in Computer Science
Microsoft Certification(s) in Business Intelligence
• 5 – 7 Years Experience Delivering BI Solutions using the Microsoft Technologies above.
