Principal/Senior JavaScript Engineer -Authoring-very competative base salary

My client is seeking a Principal JavaScript Engineer who combines a passion for technology with the skills and intelligence to make our solutions a reality. You will be working with a top notch team of developers as we build a cutting-edge JavaScript/HTML5 based editing platform for creating effective, professional HTML marketing communications for over 500,000 small businesses and non-profits.

 

In this role you will create clean, high quality code that leverages the best/latest thinking on design patterns & architecture. Design and implement reusable components. Reuse & extend frameworks where appropriate. Keep up-to-date on the latest tools and trends, and help promote that knowledge within the team, and across the organization. You would take an active role in continuous improvement of development practices. Continuous ability to learn and grow a lot and have fun while doing it.

 

You’ve built web applications on distributed service architecture (RESTful, preferably).

You understand the architectural needs of a large front-end JavaScript web application.

You must possess expert knowledge of the JavaScript language and HTML5, and experience in prevalent JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, Backbone.JS, RequireJS, Underscore.js, AngularJS, etc.

You have enthusiasm to do TDD and automated testing via Jasmine/mocha/QUnit, as well as functional testing via RSpec, Capybara, Selenuim, and more.

You have an understanding of the requirements introduced by internationalization/localization and accessibility. You possess exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills. You’re curious, humble, and able to learn. You love to code!
