SharePoint Senior Architect/Developer up to 150K base + Bonus + RSU’s

My client is a growing and highly successful Life Sciences company in greater Boston, MA

The SharePoint Senior architect will be one of the key technical leads of the Enterprise SharePoint Delivery Team. He or she should have 5-7+ years of SharePoint application development experience, using many of the technical skills listed below. In addition, the candidate should have demonstrable technical and organizational leadership skills, as he or she will provide technical and management oversight to many development activities taking place within the team. In addition to hands-on development, the architect will perform functions such as the following:
Responsible for thought and strategy leadership for the SharePoint Application development area across the enterprise. Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the appropriate stakeholders. Ability to build and establish solid working relationships by providing timely, accurate and high quality information to peers, subordinates, upper management and/or customers.

Lead the design, development and end delivery efforts for small to large SharePoint application projects working closely with the lead architects, functional business leads, outsourced development teams, project managers and other stakeholders.

Manage architecture / development teams, technical resources and activities to meet project schedules and budget requirements that meet or exceed customer expectations

Providing technical consulting and design production / oversight

Formulating architecture best practices & guidelines

Designing & developing reusable components and publishing asset library content
Conducting architecture review and providing project estimations

 Planning and execution of new technologies and POC’s


5-7+ years of relevant experience Key technical skills: Senior SharePoint VB.NET / C#.NET
developer with experience developing in SharePoint 2010, 2013 and a solid
understanding of SharePoint 2010,2013 execution methodologies and experience
developing sandboxed / hybrid solutions. Must be a team player versed in Team
Foundation Server and be comfortable in semi-agile environment. – Fluency with
Out-of-Box features (site creations, web parts, list, libraries, workflows,
etc.) – Fluency with Site-Collection Administration – Experience and extensive
understanding of SharePoint Publishing – Experience and extensive understanding
of Custom Content Types – Experience customizing MasterPages and PageLayouts –
Experience developing custom and Out-of-Box SharePoint Workflows – Solid
understanding of new SharePoint 2010,2013 data-modeling techniques using
SharePoint lists – Experience with Solution Package (WSP) development –
Experience with custom SharePoint Feature creation – Experience developing
custom SharePoint Event Receivers – Experience developing custom SharePoint
Timer Jobs – Experience developing in InfoPath 2010, 2013 – Experience custom
WebPart / User Control development – Experience configuring SharePoint Search
scopes, results manipulation – PowerShell (at least to the level to be able to
deploy and manage solution packages) – XML – LINQ (Language Integrated Query) –
CAML (Collaborative Application Markup Language) – JavaScript – HTML – XSLT
(Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) – Solid understanding of SOA
(Service-oriented architecture) – Solid understanding of SOAP (Simple Object
Access Protocol) – Database design skillset for SQL Server using TSQL
Additional complementary (nice to have) skills: – SharePoint Security,
claims-based authentication (Windows & Forms Based Authentication) – FAST
for SharePoint Search – SharePoint 2010, 2013 MySite customization – SharePoint
2010,2013 custom dashboard development – SharePoint 2010,2013 Metadata Manager
– SharePoint 2010,2013 Shared Services development – Experience / development
with Nintex workflows – IIS, WebApp Pools, IIS metabase – JSON (JavaScript
Object Notation) – AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) – Oracle / PLSQL –
Development using Telerik Controls – Development using REST (Representational
State Transfer) approach for remote data access in SharePoint list / libraries

Education- BA Computer Science or equivalent
