Principal Business Intelligence Programmer Analyst- up to 130K plus bonus- north of Boston

 

The Sr. Analyst is involved in all stages of the system development life cycle.  Focusing on Data Warehouse design and development as well as data quality, the analyst performs dimensional analysis of user requires to stage and load data from multiple different source systems.  In addition, the analyst provides technical leadership for the BI team, addressing issues including the design and development of new BI solutions, integrating new data with the existing Data Warehouse environment.  The desired candidate is an expert in Informatica, Dimensional Design and Metadata Management, and experienced in using multiple different Business Intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will create, deploy and maintain data warehouse and business intelligence solutions using one of the industry-leading BI toolsets: Oracle BI (OBI-EE) and Informatica ETL.  Using a  thorough understanding of data warehouse principles and dimensional design,  you will replace the existing Business Objects reporting environment with Oracle BI Analytical Applications.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related and at least 10 years of experience creating, deploying and maintaining data warehouse and business intelligence solutions using one of the industry-leading BI toolsets.

•At least 5 years work experience using both Oracle BI (OBI-EE) and Informatica ETL tools is ideal.

•A thorough understanding of data warehouse principles and dimensional design is also expected.

•Prior work with any of the Oracle BI Analytical Applications is strongly preferred; exposure to Business Objects is also a plus.

•Communications skills – demonstrated able to work with technical and non-technical staff effectively is critical

•Oracle BI Answers and Dashboards

•Oracle BI Repository Administration and Catalog Administration

•Informatica Development – mappings, workflows

•Deploying/customizing Oracle Financial Analytics, Project Analytics, HR Analytics

•Data warehouse – dimensional design and development, data marts, OLAP

•Very strong SQL skills using Oracle and SQL Server databases

•Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with reports and ETL processes

•Experience in all phases of the BI project life cycle

•Experience sourcing data from Oracle e-Business Suite

•Exposure to OLAP (Essbase or SQL Server OLAP) a plus!

•Exposure to Scopus and SalesLogix also a plus.
